Do I need to know HTML or any other programming language?
No, absolutely not!  If you're familiar with Microsoft Word, and know what a keyboard and mouse are, you'll do fine!

Can anyone use PartyLaunch?
PartyLaunch is custom-designed for organizations and causes that want to use parties to raise awareness about, and funds for, their group or cause.

How are contributions processed?
When you set up your party, you'll supply your contribution URL and the mailing address checks should be sent to.  All contributions go directly to you.

What if we don't plan to raise funds at our parties?
No problem.  When you set your site up, simply indicate that these will not be fundraising parties.

What if I want to organize events instead of parties?
Many groups are using PartyLaunch to manage events. For now, you will still find references to "parties" in your site -- for example one button reads "Host a Party". In 2006 the program will be upgraded to allow you to control that language, so you can use PartyLaunch to manage events, vigils, phone banks, and other "non-party" activities. For now, most groups find that the power of the tool makes it worth working around the "party" language.

Can I use PartyLaunch to set up just one party?
Sure.  PartyLaunch is optimized for groups planning multiple grassroots parties, but it can also be used to manage one event.

If I do the trial, and pick a design, and then later, want to change it, is that possible?
Sure is!  You can change designs, add photos or logos, and edit content easily.

Do I need to submit a credit card to do the trial?
No.  However, the trial lasts only seven days, at which time your site will no longer be accessible.  However, we will keep it for 30 days, during which time you can return to the Order page and pay for the site.

Can I use my own domain name?
Sure!  Just contact us and let us know your domain name, or let us know what domain name you would like.  To setup a domain you already own, we charge a $25 one-time setup fee.  To purchase and set up a domain name you haven't registered for yet, we charge the $25 one-time setup fee, plus $20/year for the domain name.

Will PartyLaunch consultants manage my party for me?
Your PartyLaunch subscription provides you with the online tools you need to manage your program, plus access to extensive time-saving templates and tips. It's up to you to manage your party program. When staff resources are tight, some groups prefer to hire PartyLaunch to train their staff, recruit hosts, or manage the party from planning through the day of the event. Do I have to stick with predetermined page names, like About Us, Directions, etc, when I create my site?
No, sure don't!  If you want to have a page called "Aunt Susie's Dog," you can!  Your Free Trial lets you create a site and check out all the features for seven days.
